10 unusual ways to use a bank card

December 3, 2021 By Susan Paige Leave a Comment

Everyone is used to the fact that the credit-card is a universal instrument of access to the account. You can use it to withdraw cash from an ATM, pay in a store, buy something on the Internet, or transfer money to a friend. But in fact, there are a huge number of other ways to use plastic cards. Some of them are very practical, while others only make you smile.

1. Car scraper

It turns out that a plastic card can become an indispensable helper on a frosty winter morning, when there is nothing to clean the car. Snow on the hood or roof is better to remove with other tools, but with ice on the glass the card will cope perfectly. It’s even thinner and lighter than an ordinary car scraper, so you can use it to clean windows and other surfaces as well.

2. Universal knife.

Who among us, as a student and getting out for gatherings in the park or woods, hasn’t looked for handy tools to cut up food? After all, often it turned out that there was plenty of bread, cheese, sausage and other food, but no knife. But always carry a bank card. And it allows you to cut the food in the right proportion. And if you need a “sharper” blade, the card can always be sharpened on a stone.

3. A tool for cleaning your keyboard.

On the keyboard of those who constantly work at the computer, it is not uncommon to scrape up a decent breakfast. We do not know how much trash and various things accumulate on the keyboard, but we know that you can clean it with the same plastic card. Cleaning by just flipping and shaking is not always effective. And the thickness of the card allows you to both remove debris and wipe away dust (if you wrap the card with a tissue).

4. Fan

Save yourself from the heat by all available means, including the use of a bank card. Or better yet, several cards. If you make a small fan from them, it will save you on a hot day in the office.

5. Spatula

It’s amazing how a bank card makes a great spatula thanks to the size and material. Its length is 86 mm, width – 54 mm, thickness – 0,76 mm. Accordingly, you can get two spatulas, a large one and a smaller one. The properties of plastic, namely its flexibility allows you to work without irregularities on any surface. Finally, smooth rounded corners of the card as if created for the final treatment of joints in the bathroom or kitchen.

  1. Shoe Spoon

“Spoon” for shoes is in every home, but it can be difficult to find it at the right time. In this situation, a bank card also comes in handy. It may not be long, but it is solid and portable, which means it is always on hand.

  1. An alternative to tile and wallpaper

If you’ve been an active banking user for a long time, you’ve probably accumulated some old plastic cards. Add to them inactive club, savings, and discount cards. A particularly loyal user can engage in collecting “plastic”. Another option of using these old cards – original wallpaper, tiles or just an interesting ornament. All you need for this is old bank cards, glue and a little imagination.

  1. House of cards

For those who build houses out of a deck of playing cards, we suggest taking a closer look at bank cards. On the one hand, they are heavier, but also thicker and stronger. Therefore, the construction of the figures created will be distinguished by their durability, as well as their original design. In offices, you can even arrange competitions in the construction of houses from bank cards.

  1. Wire sorter

The problem of tangled wires at your home or office computer is familiar to everyone. If you take a plastic card, cut a few holes in it, and insert the wires into them, they will get tangled much less often. You can use more than one card, and that way the efficiency of this method will only increase.

  1. Different useful tricks

You can also make different useful things out of the card, like a bookmark for a book, a holder for headphones and wires (wrap the headphones around the card – avoid the damn tangles), a stand for your phone (see below for a video tip), etc.

All of these original ways to use bank cards are also appropriate for club, discount, and savings cards. “Plastic” can be extremely useful in everyday life.

Have a great time!
