  • Properly sourced. We credit our sources. Referenced data, research, and quotes are clearly attributed through direct citation or links to original materials.
  • Written for you — not for us. Our content exists to serve you, not to fill a page. Everything we publish must be clear, practical, and directly relevant to your financial life.
  • Consistently reviewed. No content goes live without passing through our editorial process. Quality is not negotiable.

How we get it right

Every contributor to District Media is personally accountable for the accuracy and integrity of their work. That means:

  • Each writer researches their topic thoroughly and verifies every fact, figure, and claim before submission. Speculation and unsupported assertions have no place in our content.
  • Each writer cites their sources clearly and completely. We don’t present other people’s ideas, data, or wording as original work.
  • Each writer submits 100% original content. We don’t publish plagiarised, spun, or recycled material.
  • Each writer keeps our readers in mind — particularly the people who rely on us most: those seeking financial clarity and guidance they can act on with confidence.
  • Each writer discloses any financial relationships, holdings, or affiliations that could be relevant to the topics they cover. Where a conflict of interest cannot be adequately managed, the contributor is recused from that coverage.

When we get it wrong

We correct our mistakes openly and promptly. You deserve to know when something has changed.

  • Minor errors — such as typos, broken links, or small inaccuracies — are corrected promptly.
  • Significant errors are corrected with a clearly dated notice at the top of the article, explaining what changed and why.
  • We do not silently delete or rewrite articles to hide mistakes.

Our use of AI

We’re transparent about the tools we use. AI may assist in parts of our content process — but every article you read has been fully reviewed, edited, and verified by a human contributor before submission, and then reviewed again by at least two human editors before it goes live.

The contributor — not the tool — is responsible for the accuracy, tone, and integrity of every piece we publish.


Our standards apply to everyone

Everyone who publishes under the District Media name is held to the same expectations. Failing to meet our editorial standards may result in corrective action, including revision requests, reduced assignments, or ending the working relationship.
